Sam Cullan, M.D., J.D.

Medical Doctor - Board Certified Trial Lawyer - 2016 Lawyer of the Year

Dr. Samuel (Sam) Cullan is a medical doctor, engineer, and trial attorney. He is Board Certified in Legal Medicine by the American College of Legal Medicine and is also Board Certified by the National Board of Advocacy. Dr. Cullan has earned national recognition for his representation of the catastrophically injured, specifically children who have suffered serious birth injuries due to medical malpractice. His advanced medical and legal training, as well as his engineering degree, give him a definite advantage in and out of the civil courtroom.

After graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and before obtaining his legal and medical degrees, Dr. Cullan ran for public office at only 22 years old and was elected to the Nebraska State Senate, where he served 2 terms as senator. He made quite an impact as a senator even at his young age, successfully pushing through landmark cancer research litigation, protecting public health, and fighting to preserve Nebraska’s natural resources. After earning his law degree in 1982, Dr. Sam Cullan went into private practice with brothers Dr. Dave Cullan and Dr. Dan Cullan.

Dr. Sam Cullan has over three decades of legal experience and has obtained numerous multi-million-dollar recoveries, as well as record-breaking verdicts, through his hard work and commitment to justice. He believes in helping the injured and those who have lost loved ones hold at-fault parties accountable so they can experience peace of mind and recover the financial compensation that can help them restore their lives.
